Together with the vehicle and brake manufacturers TMD Friction engineers develop and test brake friction products, which fulfils highest requirements regarding comfort, performance and wear expectancy. Our OE experience is such that we have been chosen to supply friction for the smallest cars, such as the Fiat 500, through to the world's fastest and most powerful supercars, such as the Bugatti Veyron, as well as for truck, trailer, bus and coach applications.

Part of TMD Friction's business philosophy and a factor of the company's success is its close geographical proximity of its R&D centers to series producers (brake and vehicles manufacturers alike). Next to Research and Development Centers in Leverkusen (Germany), Indiaituba (Brazil) and Troy (USA), we are currently expanding our R&D activities in Japan and China to create additional development resources for Asian vehicle and brake manufacturers.
At TMD Friction we invest yearly 30 million Euros (45 million US-Dollars) in reseacrh and development to be prepared for the requirements of the future.

The new High Performance and Racing Division of TMD Friction brings together TMD Friction and BT Bremsen-Technik, two of the most highly respected names in braking, in a unique partnership for performance and innovation. For more than 100 years, since the very beginnings of the automotive industry, the Mintex and Pagid brands have represented the very best in friction for both production vehicles as well as performance cars and they have achieved unprecendented success on the track.
The new TMD Friction High Performance and Racing Division will build on these impressive achievements, develop our partnerships with vehicle manufacturers and race teams through our Mintex Racing and Pagid RS motorsport ranges, as we continue to drive our business forward in search of tomorrow's friction, today.
TMD Friction is successfully represented at almost all sectors of motor sport with motor racing brake friction. From club sport level all the way to the works teams of vehicle manufacturers. For example, TMD Friction are official series partner of both the Porsche Cup Germany and the international Porsche Super Cups.
We have been aiding the success of motor sports teams for many years. If you want to step up to the winner's podium you need brakes that react both quickly and precisely, even under extreme conditions. Up to 80% of the vehicles competing in some of the world's biggest endurance races, including the 24 hour races of Le Mans, Spa, Daytona and Nürburgring or the 12 hours of Sebring.
TMD Friction are always track side, together with the racing teams, allowing us to continuously gather valuable experience in dynamic real time environments.
