CANDIDATUL IDEAL:

To be successful in this role, you will:

• have 1+ year experience in desktop and network support, preferably within a corporate environment
• have proven experience in supporting PC hardware (peripherals) and software (installation and configuration), including software applications (MS Office 2003) /Operating Systems (WIN 200/XP), relocation of equipment, software/image reloads, problem resolution, application of emergency fixes, virus removals
• be familiar with switches & routers
• have good communication skills

Key Accountabilities:

To ensure support service to resolve problems encountered by internal / external IT infrastructure users; this can mean inter alia:
• Analysing support requests ;
• Examining all problems; evaluating complexity, impact and priority.
• Giving required support efficiently and effectively and in accordance with priority, impact and established response time.
• Follow up assigned problems in our incident management tools
• Act as the owner of all tasks/tickets/issues assigned to you
• Document in detail all assigned tickets with your performed actions and your troubleshooting steps
• Taking decision regarding open tickets and complete with your suggestions/comments
• Perform onsite interventions at the user infrastructure/data centre
• Perform basic installations at clients environment/infrastructure
• Analysis of ongoing problems to detect the proper root cause and offer solutions towards colleagues/clients/users
• Search intensively to obtain the desired solutions and take the proper initiative before escalating towards the higher support level
• Initiative by communicating proposals for areas where improvements can be made
• Working in accordance with our quality standards, procedures, processes and work instructions.
• Reporting on progress, issues and problems to the supervisor; giving suggestions to optimise service offered and work processes


RESPONSABILITATI / BENEFICII:

Required Technical competences:

• Technical skills: Works with MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook), is familiar with internet, works in accordance with procedures for fault management and ticketing systems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows X Operating Systems
• Microsoft office issues ( error messages, improving performance, , advanced knowledge required and in depth troubleshooting)
• Windows in depth troubleshooting (error messages, improving performance, tweaking system, advanced knowledge required and in depth troubleshooting)
• Specific corporate software ( installation, error messages, troubleshooting )
• Networking ( Advanced user-level support, checking of settings, tweaking PC settings for the network )
• Server monitoring ( In depth server monitoring, interpreting error messages, reporting )
• Microsoft Windows Server X Systems - ISA is a plus
• Active Directory – ISA is a plus
• Exchange 2003 – ISA is a plus
• SQL server – ISA is a plus
• Knowledge of Vmware is a benefit
