| CANDIDATUL IDEAL:
Prerequisites
The Software Automation Specialist must have:
-experience configuring, deploying, and diagnosing applications on J2EE Application servers such as Tomcat, IBM WebSphere and BEA WebLogic
-minimum of 1 years experience with J2EE Web-based applications
-experience in both Windows and Unix environments
-excellent problem solving abilities, diagnostic skills, and detail orientation
-experience using and writing scripts for Mercury LoadRunner desired
-familiar with RDBMS systems and SQL
-superior oral and written communication skills
-BS in Computer Science or related discipline; Masters preferred |
RESPONSABILITATI / BENEFICII:
Job Description
Reporting to the Manager of the Performance Tuning Group, the Software Automation Specialist works as part of Software Architecture with new and existing product releases and prototypes, focusing on performance and scalability on our supported platforms. Software Automation Specialists work closely with other members of the Performance Tuning Group and with Software Development to create automated test scripts, conduct automated performance testing of applications, and analyze and communicate results.
Responsibilities
A Software Automation Specialist has the following responsibilities:
-continuously reviewing, benchmarking, and improving the performance of products as they are created and change over time
-understanding and documenting performance and scalability differences between supported platforms
-establishing hardware estimating guidelines for all products by benchmarking and documenting user performance on various platforms and hardware and levels of scale
-participating in product design and code reviews to identify performance concerns and inefficiencies
-educating software developers on coding practices and techniques for optimal performance
