SENIOR ACCOUNTAT

To provide professional accounting work related to the preparation and maintenance of financial records, the audit of financial transactions and the production of reports related to requests from outside entities such as fiscal authorities ,auditors, legislative bodies and also from shareholders and management.

• Plans, organizes, assigns, reviews, and evaluates the work of assigned professional and technical support staff.
• Recommends selection of staff; trains staff in work procedures, recommends discipline as required.
• Communicate with departments regarding procedures, account status, and reports.
• Reviews accounting documents to ensure accuracy of information and calculations and makes or directs correcting entries.
• Prepares, maintains control, and is responsible for subsidiary accounting records involving a variety of transactions and accounts.
• Reviews and recommends modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
• Provides technical support to outside auditors and governmental program auditors.
• Posts data to various ledgers, registers, journals and logs following established accounting techniques and procedures.
• Reconcile assigned accounts.
• Performs internal check of accounts payable, fixed assets, and cash.
• May make correcting journal entries in assigned areas.
• Maintains the various ledger accounts including reconciliation of the general ledger, revenue accounts, expenditures accounts, and cash balances.
• Monitors the financial activity on assigned programs and prepares expenditure reports for program managers as needed.
• Assists the Financial Manager with preparation and consolidation of semestrial and annual financial statements.
• Responsible for closing books at year end upon completion of annual inventory.
• Performs related duties and responsibilities as required.
