Web Graphic Artist / Graphic Designer

Candidate will have a good artistic sense with 2+ years experience in web and print graphic design, either in an agency or in-house as part of a corporate design department.
Advanced conceptual skills and the ability to follow art direction and collaborate on design.
Ability to proactively create design initiatives and take design from concept to implementation.
Detail-oriented self-starter with excellent interpersonal and teaming skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills, including handing multiple projects simultaneously; meeting tight deadlines; and reacting quickly and smoothly to changes.
Ability to create and modify UI architecture for site.
Demonstrated proficiency in photo-retouching of digital photography for online images.
Must be able to design and produce in both print and web formats.
Highly skilled in advanced Photoshop retouching for print and web.
Demonstrated proficiency with expertise with Adobe PhotoShop, Quark Express, and Adobe Illustrator.
Demonstrated understanding and proficiency in HTML and the ability to build/code HTML pages. Experience in Flash is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience communicating project status to project coordinators.
Design, conceptualization, and production of online and print projects.
Must be able to complete "design in progress" projects ensuring continuity in look and feel of that particular project and STRATIS or our clients brand.
Create optimized web ready graphics using ImageReady and Photoshop with a detailed understanding of how web pages are built.
Produce print projects with pre-press knowledge using Quark, Illustrator and Photoshop.
Design and production of ad banners using ImageReady to create static and animated gifs.
Ability to collaborate and team with other designers.

This position requires high level conceptualization, presentation, and implementation abilities. Working in the fast-paced environment of STRATIS' Design department, this individual will work closely with the development, marketing, and ecommerce teams, to produce highly visible web and print designs for STRATIS customer projects, ecommerce projects, marketing materials, packaging, and collateral materials.

Candidate must have Very Good to Advanced written and spoken English skills.
