| CANDIDATUL IDEAL:

Requirements:
- Supply Chain or Business B.A. / B.S. or the equivalent combination of education and experience required
- M.B.A or equivalent strongly preferred; experience in construction, process controls or other relevant industries strongly desired
- excellent organizational, project management, communication (written and verbal), and leadership / management skills
- extensive knowledge of category management practices and principles
- expertise in supplier and contracts negotiation
- knowledge of strategic sourcing and supplier alliance implementation
- in-depth supplier / industry analysis experience
- extensive Category (industry / market) knowledge
- financial data knowledge
- strong computer literacy
- strong interpersonal and facilitation skills
- high level of customer focus
- 3 – 5 years strategic sourcing / category management experience
- 5 – 7 years relevant procurement / supply chain experience
- 25% travel anticipated for this position
| RESPONSABILITATI / BENEFICII:
Role: Engages with pursuits and proposals teams to develop and manage procurement strategies for buyouts for all proposals and projects; the Strategic Sourcing Manager works closely with sales, project managers, operations, the execution centers and suppliers to identify new sourcing strategies in support of “must win” and strategic projects
Job Responsibilities:
- continuously monitor the local, regional and global markets and vendor developments to proactively engage in strategic sourcing events
- utilize Supply Chain Management tools to effectively prosecute both strategic aspects of proposals and projects
- develop Strategic Sourcing Plans in proposal initiation with sales and pursuits to develop and administer a strategic buyout plan
- ensure the development and communicate preliminary Requests for Quotation (RFQs)
- prepare bid market analysis for all must win projects
- actively participate in proposal responses with final RFQ preparation, supplier evaluations, and bid pricing analysis
- prepare and sanction bid equalization process and analysis
- participate in risk and opportunity analysis for proposal items and vendors
- recommend selection of suppliers for inclusion in proposals
- participate in all proposal post-bid analysis to identify lessons to be learned for future bid and proposal responses
- actively engaged in project procurement initiation by leading the conversion from proposal to project execution by developing and managing the transition plan to the Local Procurement Lead, including post award communication and escalation
- ensure the trade compliance consideration are articulated and complied with
- develop a buyout execution plan to ensure proposal strategy to project execution with Local Procurement Lead, Sales and Project Management
- prepare requests for quotations for all major contract modifications; negotiate and formalizes vendor response and update contracts
- whenever required, lead corrective action activities in accordance with developed corrective action plans during project execution
- ensure category management analysis are completed
- develop data requirements, collect and analyze the data including cost, cost levers and target costing issues and continually improve skills and competencies of Supply Chain professionals engaged in proposal and proposal support
- participate in the industry analysis to identify size of industry, leading players, and specific industry characteristics
- conduct customer requirement analyses to understand customers’ procurement needs and requirements and align these with pursuit requirements
- define the contract negotiation strategy approach, including timeline and customer / supplier requirements and the contract implementation approach based on timing and potential issues for implementation
- lead contract negotiation preparation and contract negotiations with suppliers
- identify opportunities for expanded supplier relationships to enable enhanced business partnerships and offerings
- develop close relationships with both suppliers and appropriate business customers
- provide continuous input to the development of processes, ethics, and supplier relationship management guidelines
- work with Category Managers to develop and maintain “estimating” database for quick turnaround budget proposals to support pursuits
