Chief Accountant

Requirements:
• University or College degree, in Finance or Accounting preferably
• 4-5 years of accounting experience (circa 1-2 years post international accounting qualification experience advantageous)
• Fluency in English and native Romanian
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience in multinational environment
• Proficiency in accounting regulations and tax law

• Proper and timely calculation, submission and settlement of budget liabilities according to tax regulations
• Keeping contact with the bank, handling petty cash /expense reports, making bank transfers
• Appropriate day-to-day bookkeeping by organizing accounting records according to the main principles (Romanian Accounting Act, Tax Law and the Group Policies (IFRS))
• Making accruals and month-end closing, providing monthly reports to Controlling and ad hoc reports to any other departments
• Preparing Annual Financial Statements and managing Statutory and Internal audits, assuring general compliance with statutory regulations
• Checking incoming invoices, approval from Finance side
• Ensure accuracy of information in the subledger and ensure the accuracy of the subledger feeds to the general ledger
• Establishing and enforcing accounting to enhance the transparency and relevancy of financial reporting in order to ensure that financial statements are presented fairly and have credibility
• Establishing internal procedures and rules of managing company’s assets, and supervising implementation of these procedures to protect the company’s assets and interests
• Support Finance Director and resolve daily operational issues
