SOLUTION CONSULTANT - GOOD SQL KNOWLEGDE

Qualifications:

• Post secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering or Business discipline or equivalent experience
• Experience in building relational databases
• Experience in building and using OLAP databases
• Ability to write SSIS packages and batch processes to facilitate custom actions for data, meta-data and databases
• Ability to write SQL to facilitate procedures and calculations
• Ability to write basic programming code to facilitate calculations and reporting
• Ability to create complex formulas, macros and sophisticated formatting in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to effectively communicate in English both written and oral
• Strong problem solving ability
• Must have a good understanding of Financial Reporting Concepts.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles, terms and processes will be an asset
• Experience in building Clarity 6.2 and 6.5 templates/reports considered an asset
• Experience with budgeting and financial consolidation considered an asset.

Other Requirements

• Willingness and legal ability (required documentation) to immediately travel and work to Canada and across EU (at least 25% of time)

Description

This is a challenging and fulfilling entry to intermediate level position for recent graduates and professionals with a few years of work experience. As a Clarity solutions consultant you will be exposed to a variety of technologies and responsibilities, with a potential for significant growth and advancement. You will play a key role on the solutions engineering team where you will expand your skill set and gain valuable and up-to-date experience within a variety of industries and business areas.

Scope of Role

• Working with the solutions engineering team to develop and test the demo ware
• Maintain and improve technical and business skill set through working on Proof of Concepts
• Work in a supportive manner with the solutions engineering team members providing assistance as needed
• Assist in the quality assurance testing of new versions of the Clarity product lines and starter kits
• Collaborate with the Solutions Engineering team members to request new features for Clarity product lines
• Interface with the Product Management team to understand the product release schedules in order to implement and document the new features as they are implemented in the demo ware
Job Responsibilities
• Consulting (Implementation)
o Assist with installing and configuring software
o Assist with building relational and OLAP databases, and writing and testing calculations
o Extract, transform and load data into both OLAP and relational databases
o Verify data loaded into OLAP and relational databases
o Build and test templates and reports
o Document and communicate project status regularly to the Project Lead
• Inter/Intra Department Relations
o Resolve issues from internal clients in a timely and responsive manner
o Escalate internal customer issues that are unresolved to the Director, Solutions Engineering – NA
o Assist other departments on as needed basis including performing software quality assurance and product support tasks
