Value Stream Engineer

-University Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Automatics)
-Previous experience in industry and/or project management is a plus

The role of Value Stream Engineer is to design manufacturing processes within schedule and budgetary parameters as well as to develop and/or improve manufacturing methods and to confer with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate production processes.

Summary of responsibilities:

-Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
-Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
-Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
-Analyzes and researches data and will propose product specifications to determine feasibility of product proposal.
-Confers with all support team personnel to clarify or solve problems and develop corrective action, method improvement to resolve problems.
-Coordinates engineering activities for the Customer Focus Team (CFT) and coordinates with the customer to resolve production problems.
-Develops and updates documentation to establish production methodology and requirements.
-Interface with customer on various technical aspects (conf. calls, phone calls, etc.)
-Continuous improvement of processes, line layouts, equipment utilization
-Ensures adherence to Solectron quality standards and customer quality requirements;
-Elaborates tests for OOB operators assignments and provide guidance and supervision for any inspection criteria or assignment test issue to Training and Development department.
