Software Engineer - Remote Support Engineer for HP Universal CMDB
Location - Cluj


HP Universal CMDB software is a configuration management database for IT organizations implementing business service management and ITIL-based initiatives.
In order to address strategic initiatives like datacenter modernization or make process improvements, you need to understand how your complex, distributed environment delivers the services that run your business.
HP Universal Configuration Management Database (CMDB) provides people and automated processes with a single version of the truth about the relationships between infrastructure, applications and business services. This software, which integrates seamlessly with other HP software products, automatically maintains accurate, up-to-date information on infrastructure and application relationships. A key differentiator of the HP Universal CMDB is its native integration to HP Discovery and Dependency Mapping

Responsibilities
• Answering technical questions to customers
• Communicating with customers via phone and email
• Diagnosing and resolving software problems or conflicts, and/or trying to find workarounds
• Using remote connection tools to access customer's environments and investigate
• Recreating customer environments in a lab environment for troubleshooting purposes
• Suggest improvements and upgrades to hardware and software
• Contributing to knowledge base and self-solve system
• Running onsite workshops or training programs for customers

Requirements
• Graduated with a Bachelor in “Computer Engineering” or “Computer Science”
• Have good English language
• Additional German or French language skills is a plus
• Customer oriented attitude
• Ability to prioritize and manage difficult situations
• Ability to thrive in a multi-cultural environment
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Be autonomous, self sufficient worker and fast learner


Desired Points
• Good understanding of Java coding
• Good understanding of popular OS (Windows, Linux, HPUX, Solaris)
• Good understanding and knowledge of databases and SQL is a plus
• Good Understanding of Network architecture (mainly TCP/IP protocol) is desired
• Knowledge in Webserver / Application Server (e.g. IIS, Apache, Tomcat, Websphere, Weblogic, Jboss) is a plus.
