Software Developer for Powertrain Engine Systems Timisoara

For our Engineering Timisoara we search for dynamic and motivated people to join our Engine Systems department.

The Engine Control Unit (ECU) used in Engine Management is the most powerful computer on most cars. Here you will work in customer projects teams for different customers like Renault, Ford, Proton or generic Diesel/Gasoline projects on different functionalities who manage the engine: airpath, injection, ignition, knock, CAN communication.

As a Software Developer for engine control units in Customer Software Application group you will be responsible for the software development of different functionalities:
– software requirements specifications analysis and review; build up the software design and test specifications based on the requirements
– develop the code and perform the software verification based on the test specifications
– regularly report to your direct manager the status of development and/or any deviation
– cooperate within our international development teams and interface with our internal customers
– show proactively and passion for quality in each activity you perform

In a large team working together for customer projects, we create the frame for your further personal development in project coordination, based on your performance. This will give you the chance to learn and gain an overview over engine management system.

A mentor will support you to stepwise take over own responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our products, tools, processes and organization

Job Requirements Description:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Control or Computer Engineering
- programming skills in ANSI C
- Basic knowledge of microcontroller architecture (16-bit and/or 32-bit)
- Basic knowledge in area of embedded software development for real-time systems
- Knowledge in area of software development processes and quality assurance

- Knowledgeable in the setup and usage of an oscilloscope and voltmeter
- Attention to detail, especially for documentation accuracy
- Willingness to support abroad delegation assignments
- Good English skills (writing, reading and speaking)
- Well organized person, attentive to details, rigorous
- Flexible person who can manage several development tasks in parallel
