Project Assistant

1. Project Assistant who will be working closely with Team Leader and assist in liaising with project beneficiaries:
Educational background
• Management, economics, finance, organisation; thorough understanding of frameworks, concepts and terms in budgeting and budgeting and control systems, and organisational assessment
• Proven record of having successfully applied knowledge gained for minimum five years
Project experience
• Having had at least two years’ experience in working in project, ideally in projects involving non-Romanian staff
• Proven ability to work flexibly under occasionally tight deadlines
Skills
• Documented analytical skills within (micro) economics, finance/control, business organisation, organisational studies or similar
• General problem solving skills
• Documented ability from previous assignments/work to keep several ‘balls in the air’, and work productively with people coming from many institutional contexts, expertise backgrounds, and countries
• Proven ability in managing, or interest in learning, basic project accounting for funds and resources expended
• Advanced user of Word and Excel; other software programmes desirable (such as Visio)
• Advanced or native ability to communicate in Romanian and English orally and in writing in topics spanning frameworks, concepts and terms in budgeting, and budgeting and control systems, and organisational assessment
• Experience in organisation of training, or in training will be considered a plus
The person will be a professional and mature fact-focused person in his/her working relationships with project beneficiaries, stakeholders, and team members, and who is dedicated to servicing the contractor and team members.
Remuneration will depend upon qualifications.
The position is project-based and will terminate at the end of November, 2008.
