Thermal Simulation Engineer – Electronic Control Units (Timisoara)

Mechanical and/or Thermal Engineer University degree
English mandatory, German and French appreciated
MS-Office
Ability to analyze, initiative, communication skills

Special knowledge:

Know-how thermal rules
Basics of mechanical design
Experience with FEM simulation tools mandatory
Knowledge of Flotherm tool appreciated
Knowledge of electronic components appreciated

In a modern car our Electronic Control Units are part of a complex system providing comfort and security. The high production volume with high quality requirements and competitiveness are our main challenges.
As a Thermal Simulation Engineer for Electronic Control Units you will develop the thermal concepts for different devices (body controllers, receivers,...).
You are responsible for:
• Thermal characterization of electronic components used in SV systems (e.g. relays, fuses, drivers, etc.).
• Thermal simulation of electronic devices, using the tool Flotherm (thermal software), and its analysis.
• Measurements of electronic devices and its analysis.
• Enhance simulation reliability by comparison with the measurements.
• Define the more efficient concept, based on the project team inputs (Customer requirements, thermal mission profile, mechanical concept, etc.).
• During the whole project phases, estimate working efforts, respect the allocated budget and participate to the project meetings, design FMEA and reviews.
• Support thermal design activities of our development departments worldwide

A mentor will support you to take over step by step own responsibility after an initial training phase, which will make you familiar with our products, tools, processes and organization.
