EWB MOTOR CONTROL DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER (IASI)

Education:
University degree in electrical engineering, control engineering, mechanical engineering, physics

Knowledge and Languages:
Fundamental knowledge in physics, electrical motors, and control design
Strong background in digital signal processing, control theory, and system theory
Embedded systems development, programming in C of microcontrollers, knowledge of assembler programming
Good knowledge in electrical engineering, electronics, and sensors
Good English (verbal and written)

Experience:
Best basis would be:
High level of experience in efficient embedded C programming on microcontrollers
Good experience in the field of motor control, sensorics, electronics, measurement technology
Experience in development of safety relevant electronics for automotive
Experience with simulation and rapid prototyping tools, especially Matlab/Simulink
Knowledge and understanding of software development processes

Responsibilities and Tasks:
Development of the field oriented control (FOC) and block commutation of a brushless DC motor (current, rate, and position control)
Efficient implementation of FOC algorithms on electronic control units
Modeling and simulation of motors and motor-driven actuators
Specification of test sequences and testing the controlled motor, motor electronics, and control software
Development of wheel specific functions of the EWB system (e.g. parking brake, self test, diagnostics)
