Candidates require the following proven skills and experience

• 18 months experience in the IT sector enabling them to understand the wide range of IT related product sets available on the open market.
• The proven ability to use MS Excel to its full capability in terms of creating, populating, formatting and presenting accurate spreadsheets.
• Must have clinical attention and accuracy to detail to ensure the business and its customers can make informed decisions.
• A strong commercial awareness of the sector to ensure we remain competitive.
• Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team to ensure service levels are maintained and Customer satisfaction exceeded.
• Positive communication skills are essential to the role as the candidate must be capable of liaising directly with suppliers to ascertain the correct information to ensure the code is created correctly and the quote converted into a sale.
• Have extensive experience of internet browsing to enable the quick sourcing of product details and pricing.

• 12 months experience in the IT sector enabling them to understand the wide range of suppliers from which SCC may purchase goods.
• The proven ability to use MS Excel to its full capability in terms of creating, populating, formatting and presenting accurate spreadsheets.
• Must have clinical attention and accuracy to detail to ensure the business and its customers can make informed decisions.
• A strong commercial awareness of the sector to ensure we remain competitive.
• Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team to ensure service levels are maintained and Customer satisfaction exceeded.
• Proven experience of internet usage and the ability to interrogate supplier web sites for crucial details on product availability and lead times.
• Sound communication skills in order to extract lead times from suppliers via the telephone if web sites prove insufficient.


RESPONSABILITATI / BENEFICII:

Overall Job Purpose:

Product Verification Administrator (Product Code Creation)

The role of the Product Verification Administrators is to create new product codes on our primary enterprise system (CS/3) within 4 working hours from the request being raised.
The newly created product codes are then ordered to fulfil customer sales orders and it is therefore of paramount importance that these codes are created correctly first time and to documented standards and procedures. Including but not limited to, product pricing and accurate description.

Expediter (Estimated Time of Arrival ETA)

The role of the Expediter’s is to progress chase all Purchase Orders placed on our suppliers to ensure that accurate lead times can be entered onto our primary enterprise system CS/3 in order that SCC can update their customers on expected delivery dates to them.

Main Duties of the Job:

Role: Data Verification Administrator

• Check the electronic request form submitted against a written quotation making any necessary changes.
• Type up the new code on the internal stock control system CS/3 and send back the request to the originator. Some codes are created solely from an email and these have the same 4hour SLA.
• Learn all the special coding structures in place and when to use them.
• Query any request without the correct information and reject any that have insufficient information or the incorrect supplier.
• Answer queries regarding which suppliers should be used, why a coding structure has been used, check whether a description is correct, and advise how to get description and prices changed on CS/3.
• Learn all the supplier web sites that are used to confirm product information and learn how to search the Internet generally for product information to support the requests.
• Use Notes email system to effectively reply to queries from sales.
• To learn when a code should be marked for SCC’s website upon creation.
• To learn what to check when a code is requested by a sales person to be sent to the website.

Role: Expeditor

• Working from the Outstanding Purchase Order Report, ensuring that all outstanding products are reviewed daily
• Obtaining the latest delivery date for the outstanding product and ensuring that this is reflected on our core system
• Highlighting any specific product constraints to the UK Procurement Teams
• Obtaining POD’s for purchase orders which should have been receipted in the main warehouse but are not showing as booked into stock
• Highlighting to the UK Procurement team any Outstanding Purchase Orders not received by the Supplier.
• Notification to the UK Procurement team for any products which are deemed ‘End of Life’
