Senior Quality Assurance Engineer ( BF Family )

We are looking for a dedicated, self motivated, highly skilled Quality Assurance professional to join our team of engineers building high-end, high quality Web applications for our partner Betfair.
Betfair is the world’s leading person-to-person betting exchange, using a concept which is revolutionising the betting industry.
The successful candidate will be a strong communicator who is capable of interacting with both technical and non-technical people. They will also be able to quickly develop a detailed knowledge of the applications being tested.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:
• Challenge user stories in order to generate test cases.
• Define innovative approach to test execution, combining technical and manual.
• Find and document problems in the requirements and in the software product.
• Write, execute and maintain automated test scripts.
• Analyze software product and development process and provides input for decisions regarding the actions to be taken to ensure and enforce product quality.

Key Working Relationships:
• This position involves working with and been part of a cross-skilled qa/development team, and will have regular contact with teams looking after other aspects of Betfair products & tools.

Person Specification
Experience & Qualifications Required:

Essential:
• Proven proficiency at defining test cases using test case generation techniques.
• Knowledge of unit testing techniques.
• Good understanding of development process.
• Keen to logical tests scenarios.
• Capable of self coordination and task oriented.
• Good communication skills.

• At least 2 years experience.

Desirable:
• Development skills.
• Experience of testing transactional web sites.
• Experience (knowledge) of different software development methods.
• Capacity to analyze problems to their root cause.
