Experience & Qualifications Required:
Essential:
• 2+ year experience in IT/desktop/critical systems support
• Windows 2000 Professional and XP knowledge

Desirable:
• Knowledge of Networking
• Knowledge of Avaya Definity PABX and handsets
• Knowledge of SQL
• Experience of supporting bespoke applications

Key Skills and Attributes:
• Good English language (you will interact with support people from UK)
• Quick learner with particular emphasis on bespoke systems
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and diagnostic skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work as an individual as well as within a highly demanding team environment

Summary
We are seeking for a dedicated, self-motivated, driven technical professional to join our team of engineers maintaining high-end, highly scaleable, web applications for the world’s largest person-to-person betting site. You will work as a member of the operations team supporting the business-critical internal office systems.

A broad systems background is preferred. Experience must include Windows 2000 Professional, XP and MS Office, exposure to UNIX and Linux is desirable. Knowledge of Oracle/SQL and networking is also desirable.

The successful candidate will have excellent technical and problem solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to work both independently and part of a team. The candidate requires advanced troubleshooting skills, with a focus on bespoke web-based applications as well as the ability to troubleshoot and solve common desktop, server and network problems.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to think on their feet and have good analytical skills, able to operate with formal system monitoring, troubleshooting and issue resolution procedures.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:
• Support of production Windows 2000/XP desktops, laptops and servers
• Supporting all office infrastructure including first line networking, telephone and audio visual systems
• Troubleshoot both MS Office and internal bespoke applications
• Liaise with all other departments to ensure quality of service demands are met
• Effectively and readily communicate issues and solutions to other parties
• Document all work completed and help build a knowledge base of problems and solutions
