RESPONSABILITATI / BENEFICII:
The main responsibilities of the ideal candidate will be:
- He/ she will be involved in drafting, checking and modifying different type of contracts.
- He/she will be responsible for representing the Company in the relations with local and state authorities and for a good cooperation with counselors. Most importantly, he/she will have to keep abreast of the latest changes in the Romanian legislation.
- He/she has significant exposure to international clients (large multinationals, banks / investment firms) and complex transactions in the Real Estate field
- He/she can establish contacts with municipalities or other authorities to conduct research regarding legal aspects of real-estate properties ( cadastre, registration, tax )
- He/she handles legal aspects related to the company’s operations
- He/she drafts/reviews contracts (mainly with international funds, financing agreements, loan facilities, acquisition agreements, security agreements, construction and development agreements, construction management agreements, lease agreements for offices/hypermarkets, project sale agreement/forward sales etc.)
- He/she works on real estate regulations (real estate due-diligence, acquisition agreements), litigation (civil/ mainly related to real estate, commercial, bankruptcy, privatizations etc.).
- He/she examine regulatory and commercial issues for legal implications
- He/she will participate in commercial negotiation for real-estate property acquisition
- He/she will be involved in identification of real-estate property for purchase, site seeing and preliminary assessment
- He/she will have to collect, process, distribute, store and manage information from the real-estate market
- He/she will have to be in close contact with real-estate brokers, agents, advisors
- He/she will have permanent contact with legal firms, lawyers, that will act on behalf of the company or on behalf of properties the company is trying to acquire.
Job Requirements
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
- University Law degree (minimum Bachelor Degree level)
- A Master’s Degree in “Commercial” Law would be an advantage
- Minimum 3 years relevant working experience
- Applied knowledge of title issues, restitution regime, interdiction arrangements on land
- Applied knowledge of lease contract, head of terms, LOI or equivalent documents, etc.
- Proficiency with Microsoft products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as Internet tools
- Fluent in Romanian and English
- Resourceful to dig up and get information from different sources
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments
- Organized and structured in his/her work
- Have a driving license and own a car
- A good knowledge of Bucharest geography
