QUALITY ASSURANCE DIRECTOR

The Director of Quality Assurance is responsible for managing all aspects of the quality assurance function within the Department of Software for all internal systems. This includes all budgeting for the QA function, hiring and performance appraisals of all employees, establishing all testing procedures and working with all stakeholders to develop appropriate test plans. She/he will manage all enhancement projects and trouble ticket resolution activities on multiple platforms and provide visibility to status of all projects directly to upper management.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as independent review of products coming out of Software Development to ensure products meet customer requirements and work according to documented specifications
• Act as a loyal “Customer Advocate” within the development team and insure the final product not only literally meets specifications but is also fit for the intended end use
• Define QA process (i.e., specification development, points of involvement, process for final product approval, process for tracking and communicating necessary changes in products)
• Direct day-to-day activities of the team in Bucharest and coordinate with other project stakeholders in California, USA
• Provide analysis and development of use-cases and design-documents to assist in the validation of business and technical needs
• Review designs for testability, supporting cross-functional test planning with other departments
• At least 5 to 10 years of management experience in a team atmosphere using advanced development processes and QA procedures and reporting to upper management
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering or related field at a minimum
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral
• An understanding of SQL databases, Linux, Java and VCS
• Familiarity with productivity software such as Microsoft Office and Project
• Refined time management and organizational skills represent a must
