Software QA Engineer

We are looking for 4 QA engineers to work on Neverfail Heartbeat and Neverfail SCOPE.

Candidates should have at least one year's QA experience in a suitable environment, ideally with client-server applications. In exceptional cases, candidates with no formal experience may be considered as well.

Good spoken and written English are essential, since all Neverfail technical documents and procedures are in English, and all technical and project meetings are conducted in English.

The following attributes will be useful, though they are not essential:

• Strong Windows system administration skills;
• Some familiarity with configuring applications such as Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server, BlackBerry Enterprise Server, Microsoft IIS, Microsoft SharePoint or Lotus Domino;
• Good networking skills;
• Experience of an automated test tool or a scripting language;
• SQL scripting experience.

The ideal candidate will be able to show attention to detail and a methodical approach to his / her work. He / she will be able to work with limited supervision.

Neverfail Heartbeat is the powerful core technology at the center of every Neverfail solution. The Quality Assurance team works closely with the Development team to ensure the quality of the product.

Purpose of Job
• Coordinating, planning and communicating test activities;
• Testing software through the lifetime of a development project;
• Providing feedback to the Development team on the behavior of the software.

QA Engineers will work closely with Developers on Neverfail software projects, to achieve the following objectives:
• Review new product developments to ensure testability and back-compatibility;
• Create high-level test plans;
• Define hardware / software / network environment for tests;
• Develop, refine and execute manual and automated test scripts;
• Set up and manage dedicated test systems;
• Undertake initial analysis of faults;
• Provide clear and accurate reports of faults and issues;
• Regression-test fixed bugs throughout the life of the project.

In addition, QA Engineers will work as part of a larger team for software releases, executing installation and upgrade tests, end-to-end system tests, bug regression tests, compatibility tests, and stress / load / performance tests.

QA Engineers should also be prepared to:
• Contribute to ongoing company process improvement efforts;
• Ensure that all quality procedures and guidelines are adhered to and suitably maintained.
