Production Manager

Profile of the ideal candidate:
• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent by experience University
• Min 5 years background in engineering;
• Experience in project based work;
• Good understanding of production processes and requirements;
• Good experience with paint facility layout / installations
• Excellent command of English and Romanian
• History of achievement of results
• Pro-active team player
• Flexible
• IT literate: Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication skills
• Analytical personality
• Able to multi task
• Team player
• Some knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety regulations is a plus
• Knowledge of "Lean Manufacturing" is a plus

Purpose of the job:
• Coaching the supervisors, team leaders (productivity, leadership, team corner, operator evaluation,)
• Monitor the KPI’s(Productivity, line availability, FTT (First Time Trough), OEE, on time delivery)
• Plan internal and external training for supervisors, team leaders and operators
• Production scheduling following the schedules.
• Continuous updating together with operations administration
• Hiring process of the operators
• 5S Housekeeping
• Process improvements on the line
• Management of separate production departments;
• Plan details of production activity in terms of output quality and quantity, cost, time available, and labour requirements
• Supervise work in separate production departments
• Supervise production process
• Make analysis regarding costs and offers suggestions for improvement
• Maintain relationship with suppliers
• Ensure the efficient usage of capacity and resources
• Oversee the maintenance of machines and equipment
• Control the preparation of production records and reports

Medias Industries Inc, located in Medias, Romania, is part of Oshkosh Truck Corporation, a worldwide leading manufacturer of specialty trucks and truck bodies.
The manufacturing facility produces the refuse trucks of Geesink Norba Group, the Kiggen refuse containers and does pre assembly activities (e.g. boom welding) for the JLG telehandlers. At this moment more than 300 team members are working on site.
Oshkosh Truck Corporation is investing in this facility and therefore due to expansion we are looking for a skill person.
