Water Engineer

We are looking for a young, highly motivated and highly skilled Water Engineer with experience in Flood Risk Assessment and Hydrotechnical Constructions to come and join our team in Bucharest and be an integral part of driving our business forward in the Romanian market. Initially, the successful candidate will become involved in a large Flood Risk Assessment project covering the Prut-Bârlad hydrographical basin involving feasibility studies, Masterplanning and detailed design activities. This will require the candidate to be based between our Bucharest office and the project office in Iasi for the duration of this project.
Candidates should, as a minimum, be a graduate in Civil Engineering with a specialisation in a Hydrotechnical related discipline. Ideally the candidate will also have a post-graduate certificate (MSc or PhD) in a specialist Hydrotechnical subject, but this is not an essential requirement for the post.

The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a minimum of 5 years experience with a portfolio comprising projects involving feasibility studies, Masterplanning, detailed design for flood risk assessment and Hydrotechnical constructions as well as engineering supervision of Hydrotechnical construction works. It would be advantageous if the candidates portfolio includes experience in working on EU (ISPA and PHARE) funded projects with similar requirements.
Candidates should have a basic knowledge of Romanian law as applicable to Hydrotechnical construction together with a basic knowledge of FIDIC contracts.
