RESPONSABILITATI / BENEFICII:
Main responsibilities:
•Regularly assessing risk exposures and formulating solutions to be presented to Management for review.
•Systematically, and in a logged and documented manner manages LAN security and network performance. This principle extends to the whole of activities surrounding and within the management of ICT.
Analyzes future needs for acquisition.
•Develop and write procedures for installation, use and solving problems of communications hardware and software.
•Fully documents configurations to allow knowledgeable third parties to intervene in case of urgent or emergency need.
•The following functions are to be accomplished:
•Performs all operational tasks to agreed service level agreements in a 24/7, 365 environment.
•An Office helpdesk support internationally with our internal organization
•Resolve critical incidents which affect the availability of their systems quickly on a 24/7 basis
•Maintain databases of the company’s IT inventory
•Responsible for installing, configuring and maintaining UNIX servers and Windows servers.
•Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages and maintains them.
•Performs hardware installations and upgrades to servers and workstations
•Monitors and tunes the systems to achieve optimum level of performance.
•Ensures UNIX workstations/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.
•Ensures data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
•Instructs users in the use of equipment, and monitors that this usage conforms to AMA policies and best practice.
•Conducts routine hardware and software audits of workstations/servers for compliance with established standards, policies, procedures and configuration guidelines.
Job requirements:
•Extensive experience in a support/ Senior IT role.
•Experience in working in a production (Live) 24x7 environment
•Operating systems: Linux (Debian, RedHat is a plus), Windows 2003 Server, Windows 2000/2003 Server, Windows XP, Solaris is a plus
•Administration of Windows Servers and Active Directory
•Experience managing Firewalls, VPNs, Email servers, Load balancers, Cisco Switches (must be CCNA level), Routing, Switching, QOS, DNS and Bridging
•Experience in working with RAID Systems
•Must be familiar with the following software packages: Apache/PHP, Tomcat, mySQL, Oracle, Subversion, CVS, wiki or plone, HTML and Weblogic is a plus
•Strong problem solving skills with the ability to organize plan and prioritize work.
•Strong communication skills
•Experience with accessing and problem solving servers remotely
•The ability to coach and mentor junior staff
•Experience with Network Security and intrusion detection
•Experience with backing up enterprise systems
