Independent / Statutory Accountant

The successful candidate will be responsible for the statutory and tax information for the Romanian legal entity. This role reports operationally to the Managing Director and functionally to Central Europe Controller and will involve being a proactive value added member of the local team.

Deliver monthly reports and filings according to Romanian statutory accounting rules
Produce the monthly/quarterly close process for the Romanian operating units
Complete other periodic reports and ad hoc information as requested by the business
Execute a plan to deliver accurate and timely statutory filings
Work closely with the external auditors and advisors to deliver required information to the management
Complete outstanding audit or tax compliance issues with appropriate documentation
Ensure all Balance sheets are properly reconciled with appropriate documentation
Take ownership of the subjective reserves
Drive improvement initiatives in the cash forecasting process
Completion of the year tax packets for local tax purposes
Support the budget and rolling forecast preparations process
Controlling function for the local operations
Timely booking of transactions in the fields of:
General Ledger accounting,
Account receivables,
Payment,
Bank reconciliation and
Monthly and year end closure
