Production Supervisor

To be fully compliant with all Environmental and Health and Safety procedures in place.
To manufacture products in full compliance with company Quality goals and Manufacturing systems.
To maximize available production capacity with 100% adherence to production schedule.
To maximize people capabilities through effective education, training and development.
To create a performance-based, team based culture to support the achievement of business goals and objectives.
To maintain cost effectiveness through the implementation of a continuous improvement philosophy.
To oversee the implementation of company Environmental, Health and Safety requirements during the manufacture of company products.
To perform initial accident investigations, distribute PPE, monitor and coach your staff on safe working.
Responsibility for quality of product and product output.
Investigative work and report writing. Checking of completed batches.
Writing/updating Master Batch Records/SOPs.
Liaising with Stores/Maintenance/Planning/Quality in respect of product/manufacturing issues and attending meetings which impact on manufacturing.
To fully adhere to the agreed production schedule and delivery performance targets.
Be real-time aware of product and process quality performance. In particular the quality performance at the key test and inspection station.
To control all production related activities in accordance with company Quality Management system and best practice.
To ensure that all employees achieve full competency levels through the provision of job related education, training and development. Also ensuring that an appropriate level of versatility is achieved.
Conducting performance appraisals, Managing disciplinary action and grievance handling.
Scheduling annual and other leave, time off, overtime, etc.
Playing appropriate role in the development, operation and evaluation of training/re-training operators.
Ensuring that training carried out is documented, tracked and evaluated.
Assist in ensuring that current compliance issues and trends, both internal and site-wide, are critically evaluated and that training is provided where appropriate.
To coordinate communications with the Manufacturing Engineering team and give input to ensure support is provided as required.
Liase with planning, engineering and quality to plan work and resolve problems.
Ensure that administrative work is performed to the highest standards and in a timely manner. This includes time and attendance reporting; performance reviews, etc.
To minimize the use of overtime and to look at more effective methods of production.
To review scrap levels on both a real-time and daily basis and put the necessary steps in place to reduce cost.
To interact effectively across shifts and within cross functional teams when involved in continuous improvement activities.
To behave appropriately (adhering to company procedures) during a time of crisis, or adverse conditions.
Support both the deployment and daily realization of 5S within the cells

Cerinte:


Degree from a recognized university with one of the following specializations: Automatics and Industrial Informatics, Electronics, Applied electronics, Electronics and Telecommunications.
Minimum 3 years experience in a Production Supervisor role.
Knowledge of Manufacturing procedures, Quality Procedures, SOP's
Knowledge of Item Masters, Bills of Materials and Routers.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to coach, guide and motivate.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to forward plan and adapt to unexpected change
