PORTFOLIO MANAGER

Job Requirements:
 Minimum 2 years experience in a managerial position;
 Minimum 3 years experience in credit and/or financing field;
 University degree, Finance or Economics majors/specializations preferred;
 Thorough accounting and finance knowledge;
 Strong managerial skills;
 Strong planning and organizing abilities;
 Openness, assertiveness and ability to work in a dynamic atmosphere;
 Excellent knowledge of Romanian language;
 Ability to effectively communicate of spoken and written English;
 Flexibility to travel to all company site offices;
 Clean Category B driving license.

Position Summary:

The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for the management of all credit/lending activity of Express Finance, a Romanian company operating in the field of microfinance. As a member of the senior management team, the Portfolio Manager will play a vital role in assuring the profitability of Express Finance. He/She will be responsible for monitoring portfolio quality, assist in developing company strategy including new products and geographical expansion, and interact with external parties on all credit-related matters. He/She will oversee the complete credit cycle and create an optimal environment so that company goals for portfolio and client growth and portfolio quality can be reached. The Portfolio Manager will supervise and train all credit staff. The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for updating all credit policies and procedures and will oversee the development of new credit products.

Major Responsibilities:

 Responsible for overall portfolio quality and growth;
 Plans, coordinates and monitors credit activity through Regional Managers;
 Supervises and leads the Secondary Credit Committee in the review and approval of loans;
 Oversees the implementation of loan activity and ensures that credit policies and procedures are followed;
 Training of staff in credit policies and procedures;
 Coordinates and analyzes the preparation and compilation of credit-related reports;
 Assists in strategic planning, suggests and coordinates expansion plans including opening of new site offices;
 Proposes and develops competitive loan products;
 Develops new policies, products and procedures as needed;
 Continuously evaluates supervised staff and supports good communication between the employees;
 Assists, coordinates and oversees, together with the Administrative Manager, all human resources related records and activities for the credit staff;
 Coordinates and oversees, together with the Finance Manager, all issues relating to the financial performance of the loan products and site offices.

Job Location: The Company’s headquarters office in Timisoara, Romania. Travel is required.
