QUOTE ENGINEER

Qualifications:

Good base knowledge of electrical & electronic components.
Good understanding of standard manufacturing processes and procedures.
Good understanding of Bills of material structures.
Proficient in MS Office with additional knowledge for Excel.
Familiar with OCR software.

Typical work activities include:

• Review customer data to see if more research and information need to be collated.
• Translate customer data for use by Material quote team. Full BOM de-construction required.
• Data conversion i.e. PDF to Excel format.
• Assess process requirement for customer product.
• Analyses work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow.
• Preparing reports, flow diagrams and charts.
• Managing the cost and time constraints of quote projects.
• Analyses product yield together with Test engineering for correct coverage in quoted value add.
• Making observations and taking measurements directly, as well as collecting and interpreting data from the other technical and operating staff involved in the manufacturing process.
• Working closely with Process engineers to monitor and improve the efficiency of manufacturing. Quote to Actual.
• Working closely with other specialists, including: Manufacturing engineering responsible for the quality control of raw materials, intermediates and finished products.
Recommends layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
• Confers with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
