Senior Project Manager

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Economics; MBA would be an advantage;
• Recognized Project Management expert, with demonstrated significant accomplishments and contributions;
• Extensive knowledge of effective project management techniques and quality assurance across the full lifecycle of project development and execution;
• Hands-on experience in successful delivery of multi-disciplinary, business-related projects (at least 3 years experience in the field): full lifecycle experience of project development and delivery, including knowledge of planning, cost estimation/cost control, risk management, procurement and contracting strategy, commissioning, resource planning, project administration;
• Fundamental understanding of core business aspects; An understanding of the energy industry (upstream/ midstream and downstream areas) is desirable, though not essential;
• A good understanding of the demands of a project-centered environment;
• Excellent computer skills for the Microsoft Office package and knowledge of MS Project;
• English proficiency; other language competencies – Russian, French - would be a plus;
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills;
• Superior communication and presentation skills;
• Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to perform effectively in a team environment;
• Strong in planning resources, establishing priorities and multitasking;

Job Objective

• Planning, development and implementation of assigned projects within the Corporate Capital Projects umbrella;
• Evaluation of the economic and financial impact of all projects undergoing within the Corporate Capital Projects umbrella.

Job Responsibilities

• Executes the project according to Rompetrol project management methodology and project development process, enforcing project standards;
• Establishes a project plan including work breakdown structure, project schedule, implementation and communication strategy, clearly identifying the deliverables and associated resources involved;
• Revises project work plans as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements of the business;
• Identifies, assesses and manages all risks to the success of the project;
• Facilitates and troubleshoots the problems associated with the development of complex systems and tools;
• Evaluates and communicates project metrics;
• Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities accordingly;
• Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope;
• Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures;
• Manages project budget, with an understanding of basic revenue models, P/L, cost-to-completion projections and making decisions accordingly;
• Determines appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing, monitors receivables for project;
• Analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization;
• Works closely with stakeholders to ensure an implementation of long term success;
• Identifies business development and "add-on" sales opportunities as they relate to a specific project;
• Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized project-related presentations;
• Resolves and/or escalates project-related issues in a timely fashion;
• Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
