Head of Quality Assurance, Health, Safety and Environment - Corporate

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree and HSE specialization (International certification is an important asset);
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role;
• Conversant in HSE, QA and QC matters;
• Previous experience with environmental consulting;
• Experience in performing and conducting risk assessment;
• Experience completing environmental and safety compliance audits in client facilities;
• Working knowledge of HSE Management Systems;
• Experience delivering subject-matter training;
• Relevant Certificate/Degree in Safety;
• Certification in ISO (9001,14001);
• Process and system-oriented approach;
• Pro-active attitude;
• Ability to come up with alternative solutions;
• Ability to communicate easily with parties internally and externally, at all levels of the organization;
• Consistent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with people at all levels in the organization;
• Excellent command of the English language;
• Strong computer skills - MS Office.

Job Objectives:

• This position implies design, update and maintenance of the Corporate Governance related to improving effectiveness of the Quality Assurance, Health & Safety Management and Environmental Protection Systems within Rompetrol Group;
• This senior level position will be responsible for project management, client development and senior level technical support for a variety of QHSE service offerings and clients at Corporate level;
• The position holder will require an emphasis on health and safety experience, as well as quality assurance and environment protection.


Job Responsibilities:

• To develop and manage inter departmental cross functional teams to enable QHSE audits;
• EH&S program development, implementation, and training in client facilities;
• EH&S regulatory compliance assistance, auditing and risk assessments;
• To implement HSE management system (general and ISO14000 and OHSAS 18001) in client facilities;
• To establish / update / maintain policies, standards, procedures and aspirations so as to prevent harm to people, environment and assets; to review proposed occupational safety policies, guidelines and standards;
• To provide guidance to management through interpretation of EH&S practices, procedures, legislation, and regulations;
• To supervise identification, analysis and control of occupational hazards requiring the application of professional engineering knowledge, skill and abilities;
• To advise on structural safety requirements based on failure mode analysis of such factors as fatigue, stability, stress, concentration and creep; to design protective equipment or safety devices for machines and plant equipment to eliminate occupational hazards;
• To develop and present recommendations and advise all levels of management to ensure balance between productivity and the safety of team members, contractors, and visitors;
• To provide professional advice to the Leadership Team and Managers in all QH-related matters.
