Accountant

REQUIREMENTS

• Good knowledge of Romanian accounting standards and legislation;
• Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, of financial markets, banking and of the analysis and reporting of financial data
• Good computer literacy (efficient use of the computer and Microsoft Office applications);
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written;
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting;
• Very good communication skills (speaking and writing);
• Result-oriented, long-term vision, team player, high moral values.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handle the accounting process during the month : journal entries, post transactions into the system;
• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
• Prepare reports customized to support business decisions.
• Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
• Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, and maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
• Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements.
• Establish tables of accounts, and assign entries to proper accounts, to result in customized data analysis.
• Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
• Prepare the trial balance and balance sheet and other statutory reports requested by the fiscal authorities;
• Prepare timely and accurate filing, calculation, submission and payment of all tax returns toward state and local budget;
• Perform and/or oversee special review of the general ledger by analyzing and reconciling the various accounts;
• Handle the cash in/out process.

SALARY

• Start-up salary 200 €.
