R&D - Thermal Engineer

REQUIRED Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering , additional training in electrical engineering Would Be a plus . Thermal Engineering specialisation is highly desired .

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Experience in validating the thermal performance of electrical machines
• Computation Fluid Dynamics experience
• Final Element Analysis experience
• Basic understanding of Thermal Engineering
• Fluent English and Romanian
• Good communication skills to operate Cross - functionally and internationally

As R & D Thermal Engineer , You will Be responsible for the thermal analysis and development of new product development , for support for Cummins Generator Technologies ' ( CGT ) model of functional excellence strategy for Computation Fluid Dynamics ( CFD ) and for supporting project leaders / When managers assigned to projects. You will report to the R & D Team Leader in Craiova .

Responsibilities

• Support functional excellence for thermal CGT
• Manage the CGT 's compliance with best practice standards internationally Recognised Labs
• Benchmark best practices through internal and external development of analysis led design ( ALD ) and standard engineering work ( ESW ) . Lead and mange the implementation of those practices applied to new product development
• Identify , initiate , implement and thermal improvement Develop Projects and Processes
• Provide expertise to drive continuous learning and knowledge sharing in order to maintain the competitive advantage and to empower employees to achieve performance excellence
• Production of ongoing modifications to the thermal design as needed, to improve safety , performance , cost effectiveness , reliability , ease of manufacture , etc. . . To suit all internal and external Customers
• Liaison on design modifications as necessary , with All Areas of the engineering , quality control and material When required Departments
• Dealing with all technical inquiries from internal and external sources.
