ETL / SQL Developer

The ideal candidate has a technical background in business intelligence, data warehousing and reporting. Experience in SQL Server 2005 and Informatica Powercenter is preferred; alternatively candidates with experience in another RDBMS and/or ETL stack may be suitable. Applicants must be hands-on, resourceful, smart and have excellent communication skills (English written & oral).

The Common Services Team:
• Leads and supports integration projects and changes with the cooperation/coordination of subject matter experts in the business and/or BTM
• Champions Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing and Application Integration technology and defines standards
• Develops expertise in integration processes and operations and leverages this company-wide

This allows our client to:

• Reduce project delivery times and development costs through effectiveness and efficiency
• Increase ROI through reuse and sharing of data, interfaces and services
• Stop reinventing the wheel with each project or change

Your main responsibilities
· Implement physical data models
· Build ETL processes from functional / technical specifications
· Maintain and develop documentation
· Develop and maintain development standards

Your experience and skills
· Hands-on development experience with data warehouses and/or similar databases
· In depth knowledge of SQL
· In depth knowledge of ETL Tools (esp. Informatica Powercenter)
· At least basic knowledge of dimensional modelling (“Kimball”)
· Basic knowledge of database performance and tuning technologies/techniques
