Web Developer

We are expanding our web development business into Romania and are looking for an ambitious, like-minded, professional and reliable candidate.
The ideal candidate will work closely with other team members, and also with the project manager for technical and timely aspects of the project.

Our ideal candidate should:
- be able to solve problems independently
- be able to work from a home office and communicate with his team members using web technologies
- be a proficient and good communicator in English
- be willing to learn and
- be customer-focused "the customer is king"
- give a great deal of attention to details
- want to bring his contribution to the open source developer community

Responsibilities

Project execution function within the development cycle - taking a design and converting it into a website.
Content Management in Typo3
Extension development in PHP for requested features
delivering high quality work under reasonable deadlines

We are looking for a programmer to start developing new projects and products for us.
Particularly, we are interested in creating a product in the social bookmarking & networking area with a particular emphasis on open source software.

We've been using typo3 for a long time now (open source), but in the social software area, we're looking at using software like pligg, annotea, aroundme, and the search engine nudge.
New development will involve these existing open-source projects.

Knowledge of online media technologies.
Good understanding of Open Source software
Development background
Good knowledge of PHP – MYSQL, min. 2 years experience
(D)HTML / CSS / Javascript
Typo3 Experience (References) and Typo3 extension programming
experience in project execution - taking a design and turning it into a perfectly functioning website.
good written english skills

Desirable Requirements

Ajax Experience
Experience working in an agile development environment
Interest in growing into a management position
