QA Engineer for Hosting Products UK / US

If you have/are:

... at least 1-2 years QA experience
… know how to read a system specification to understand the purpose and structure of the system;
… know how to look at a system and its specification and from these understand the areas to be tested;
… know how to assess the quality of software by measuring the relevant factors: testability, correctness, reliability, usability, maintainability, re-usability;
…BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
… good knowledge of quality assurance activities and improvements;
… basic usage of version control systems (Subversion);
… good HTML and XML knowledge;
… highly motivated, self-driven and interested in Quality Assurance;
… very good communication skills and a great team player;
… fluent in English (both written and spoken);

Would be a plus:

… ISTQB certification;
… good development skills in PHP, Python, Java;
… good knowledge of MySQL, MS SQL;
… experience with an automated testing tool (e.g. TestComplete, SeleniumIDE, JMeter, etc.);
… experience with Unit testing and Security Testing;
… knowledge of German language.

You will….

… plan, design, develop and execute different types of tests for our web-based products;
… design functional, non-functional and structural tests for new System Releases and automate them if possible;
… work with development for risk assessment, scope of regression testing and accurately provide estimations to management team;
… define and execute any tests according to test procedure in order to ensure the product quality;
… work closely with the development team to investigate and solve major software incidents;
… review the specifications for accuracy and identify faults if applicable;
… maintain and expand the test specification base using our test management tool;
… measure KPi's and keep in touch with management for risk assessment.
