IT Officer

- Educated to degree level in a relevant subject e.g. computing
- 1 year minimum Microsoft Windows 2000/3 Server / administration and hands-on troubleshooting in Windows 2000/XP environment, familiarity with MS Back Office and SQL Server 2000 administration, good working knowledge of MS Office package and components.
- Proven track record of XP and supporting a Microsoft Windows 2000/3 LAN, including Active Directory services, DNS, File & Print server and backup devices.
- Good working knowledge of networking.
- Some knowledge of IP routing/filtering or firewall technologies would be beneficial
- Good communications skills in particular to deal with staff at all levels who may not have strong technical/IT background
- Good written and spoken English, must be able to converse in English in person and by phone.

- Provide internal support to Desk & lap top users, liaising with International IT Department to resolve specific issues.
- Provide support (Hardware & Software) to branch and Head Office PC users
- Maintain anti-virus software and distribute to users
- Administration and support of all Head Office systems back-up and recovery procedures
- Maintain network security and access privileges in accordance with company procedures and policies.
- Ensure daily and weekly back-ups are made according to the agreed schedule and stored securely.
- Enforce and apply, as necessary Company policies and guidelines.
- Deploy hardware and software whilst maintaining standard set-up and configuration.
- Liaison with third party maintenance companies.
- Drawing up periodic reports
