Product Development Engineer

• University Degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering or Physics; PhD level is a benefit.
• Some experience in the application field of acoustics
• Specific technical competencies:
- Acoustics (sound power, sound intensity), acoustic materials, psycho-acoustics
- Measurement techniques in area of mechanical vbrations and acoustics
- Digital Signal Processing
- Broad interest in NVH in general
- Ability to prototype algorithms in Matlab or equivalent
- Knowledge of C++ or .NET programming
• Specific personal competencies:
- Analytical, technical and critical
- Team player
- Well organized
- Good spoken and written communication, adapted to the audience: developers, pre- or post-sales engineers, etc
- Good presentation skills
- Fluent in English and Romanian, knowledge of French or German is a plus.
- Willing to travel

The Product Development Engineer will support Software Development team for the creation of LMS Test.Lab products in the field of Acoustics. LMS Test.Lab is our software platform for test-based engineering. He/she will become the technical reference point in the team for the products involved, and stays informed on the evolutions in technology, industry and at customers. The following main roles can be identified:
• Product development support:
- Define the product specification for new products in the wide range of Acoustic Applications.
- Provide product related technical assistance to the software developers in order to correctly transfer the specifications into commercial products
- Support and check for a correct implementation of the required functionalities in software
• Technical support tasks:
- Development of collaterals in support of the pre- and post-sales organization: product manuals, training materials, technical background materials, etc
- Second line problem solving in cooperation with the Customer Support organization
• Quality control:
- Review, update, and execute test templates with a focus on overall product stability.
- Coordination and co-execution of TL Service Levels and TL Major Releases
