Oracle Database Administrator

Our client is a major bank that is expanding rapidly across Romania. They are currently seeking an experienced and charismatic Oracle database Administrator. As well as the qualifications listed below that you must possess, you will be outgoing, personable, dynamic and innovative. You will speak and write fluent English, be adaptable and wiling to learn new skills, have a positive attitude and be communicative, have outstanding organisational skills and enjoy working under pressure to deadlines that require all round analytical attention.

You will be responsible for the installation, upgrading and maintenance of the Oracle Server and its application tools, allocate system storage and planning future storage requirements, create primary database storage structures and primary objects after new application designs have been made, modification, control, monitoring of all application and users, backup and archiving, and full communication with Oracle on all matters relating to the application. You with have a degree in computer science (or equivalent), at least 2 years experience as an Oracle 9i DBA, minimum 3 years experience with PL/SQL, experience of database administration with Microsoft SQL Server 2000, experience of Transact-SQL and be very familiar with networking using Windows Server 2000 and 2003 and MS Visual Studio 6 and MS Visual Studio.Net. You must have Oracle 8i and 9i, Oracle Advanced Replication, SQL Plus, Advanced Database Tuning, DDP and preferably knowledge of Oracle Workspace Management and CDC.
