Executive Director (Charitable Foundation)

This is a unique position that will only suit a very special individual. Our client is a prestigious Charitable Foundation in Romania committed to the welfare of the community to provide basic social services for education, health, culture and civil society development, in Bucharest and across Romania. They are urgently seeking an exceptional person to take over the day to day management and development of the Foundation, who is capable of multi-tasking at various levels and able to handle a diverse range of jobs and responsibilities.

The candidate will be largely responsible for the public relations, government relations, media and press relations, fund raising initiatives and lobbying at every level. You will be dynamic, compassionate and companionate but also disciplined and dedicated. You will be responsible for directing and controlling the organisation's operations and give strategic guidance and direction to the management and staff to ensure that the organisation meets the requirements of its mission and objectives. To implement long-term strategies which are both cost effective and innovative. Your role is an executive one that will demand a strong disposition, effective leadership ability, patience, tolerance and an aggressive yet understanding approach both to the staff and volunteers you are working with and the pubic as a whole. You will be a good communicator and educated to at least university level, preferably related to management and communication, with experience of 5 years or more in the area of assistance for development in Romania, with a proven track record.
The salary package offered is commensurate with the position of Executive Director and includes fringe benefits.
