Design Engineer (Oil&Gas)

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education and/or Experience:
• Mechanical Engineer Degree.
• Basic English
• Computer literate (preferably Inventor, MathCad, SAP)
• 3 years of experience, preferably with experience with oilfield equipment or heavy manufacturing in a multinational environment.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
• Preferably valid driver’s license and passport.

Other Skills & Abilities:
• Decision making;
• Customer focus (internal and external);
• Willingness to learn and to develop himself/ herself;
• Good knowledge of materials strength;
• Abilities to make calculations;
• Solid knowledge of the technical principle;
• Experience in utilize the drafting in the activity.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The development and completion of oil tool design concepts to meet customer specific requirements or the needs of the oilfield industry in general: provision of technical information, instruction, drawing and design engineering advice on oil tool products to customers, company's subsidiaries, and other departments within the organization.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

Specific responsibilities

1. Analyze and develop Product designs to meet Customer`s needs having an awareness of good economic design and safety, both in manufacture and function.

2. Engage in product development work.

3. Give technical advice on the application and proper use of Company Products.

4. Prepare drawings, information and provide the service necessary for the manufacturing group.

5. Participate in Value Engineering/Analyze Initiatives (process improvements and cost reductions).

6. Draw up the operating procedures for new shop equipment, or assembly and test procedures. Support of shop floor activities with respect to evaluation of manufacturing non-conformances.

7. Utilize the Company Engineering Standards for the specification of materials and prepare modification of this, when is necessary.

8. Identify the customer`s needs, confirm the existing product part numbers and give technical advice for the internal and external customer.

9. Give support for Quotation sales department.

10. Utilize the tools of Six Sigma to help to manage the improvement.
