AE Manager

Our client is a major USA corporation and the leader in ASIC development. Their Romanian subsidiary (based in Iasi) is seeking an exceptional AE Manager to join their busy and expanding business. In order to apply for this exciting new position, you MUST possess the following:
1. Good working knowledge of FPGA and ASIC technology.
2. Complete fluency in written and spoken English,
3. Bachelor Degree in EE or CS.
4. Minimum 5 years experience in application engineering or customer engineering.
5. Familiarity with (Structured) ASIC market.
6. Experience in handling at least one Tier 1 ASIC/FPGA customer
7. A good track record in Windows and UNIX operating systems.
8. Experience in the use of ASIC grade EDA tools.
9. FPGA/ASIC design knowledge – Verilog HDL/VHDL, Simulation, Synthesis, Static Timing Analysis
Preference will be given to candidates who have a deep knowledge of FPGA and (Structured) ASIC technologies, design flows and design tools, experience of PERL and Tcl, IP design and LVS, DRC and Formal Verification tools.

The successful candidate will work closely with the company’s worldwide customers and be able to provide them with all levels of technical support. You will collaborate with the company’s international software and circuit design centres and represent the Romanian AE team during local and international company meetings. You will contribute to the expansion and development of the AE department and manage the company’s customer database. Working with the software and circuit design engineers, you will help define and create new support documents. You therefore need to have excellent communication skills and be able to deal efficiently with customers, colleagues, subordinates, management and the company’s international departments. Since you will be partly responsible for the establishing of a top-tier AE team, you will be able to represent, coordinate, manage and develop other AE’s in your team.
