Senior Production Technologist

Job requirements:
– Degree in petroleum engineering or similar
– Over 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in the petroleum/ oil & gas industry
– Extended experience and knowledge of Best Practices in Production Technology, well modernisation, production / lifting of oil & gas etc.
– Knowledge of Field Management (mature fields operations, production operations, drilling, asset management, HSEQ, managerial interrelationships, interaction with authorities, legal requirements, etc.)
– Proven experience in artificial lift and flow assurance
– Understanding of "value optimized" Asset/ Field Management ("life cycle oriented productivity/ cost management", optimization of running costs and of return on investment)
– Understanding of planning, economics and controlling (Opex, Capex, investment decisions)
– Experience with high-end software and familiarity with standard industry software
– Experience in Project Management
– Team leader skills, experience in managing of technical groups
– Communication skills as well as managerial experience
– Proven track record (motivation, responsibility, people management, potential for leadership, etc.)
– Potential for personal development
– Good command of English language
– Computer literacy

The Senior Production Technologist is responsible for the following tasks:

– Holds responsibility for the design of oilfield equipment and well services
– Holds responsibility for the Well modernisation process
– Provides technical support in production technology and familiarizes with upgrading technology and best practices deployment to support the asset development (artificial lift and flow assurance)
– Identifies, assesses and executes Technology Development and Strategic Research programs to develop production, production and drilling technologies
– Provides expertise in well planning measures
– Acts as technology and process knowledge center in the Production Technology group
– Supports subsurface maintenance with engineering capabilities
