- Communicate effectively and efficiently with staff in other departments

- Manage the day to day running the department where is working
- Timely feeding the pigs with diet
- Daily heat checking of gilts and make notice on the card
- Managing gilt pool to ensure that the target number of gilts replacement is in accordance with technical policy paper
- Feeding system to ensure the gilts and boars are maintained in a good condition
- Assisting/Administrating vaccination and routine veterinary treatments in all the departments
- Keep specified detailed records of number of animal/room
- Report on finisher barn performance and problems
- Act promptly and professionally on any recommendations made by managers and consultants
- Accurate recording of veterinary medications administrated
- Keep department tidy and equipment in good working order and well maintained
- Selection pigs in finisher


Other Responsibilities include
- Aid Farm Manager in attaining production targets
- Keeping office, rest area and showering facilities in good order
- Ensure all farm employees and visitor follow health control procedures
- Ordering farm supplies (feed, drugs etc) in according with farm manager
- To ensure that standards are maintained and improved with regard to health, welfare and quality
-Health and Safety procedures
- Manage the vaccination program and blood testing on time
- Flexibility and willingness to work with all departments
- To ensure that standards are maintained and improved with regard to health, welfare and quality
- Maintain a clean and tidy storage area for all drugs
- Assist with pressure washing
- Help the Farm Manager regard to monthly reports,and other paper work
- Help the Farm Manager with all aspects on the farm
