Senior Accountant


Job requirements:

Experienced accountant, either qualified (e.g. ACCA) or qualified by experience
More than 3 years experience of working in a finance department
Some staff management experience desirable
Awareness of IFRS
Experience of working with accounting software (e.g. Sun, Sage etc)
Good IT skills (Excel)
Excellent level of English (spoken and written)
Willing to take over the day to day book-keeping for a limited initial period to cover maternity leave

Key responsibilities involve:
To work with the hub financial controller and the hub managing director to deliver timely & accurate financial reporting information
To ensure the quality and consistency of the monthly management reporting packs, investigating and agreeing any reconciling items as appropriate.
To drive consistency of project cost recording
To work with the hub financial controller and Romanian operations manager to monitor project profitability and create consistent meaningful analysis.
To prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and own the inter & intracompany reconciliation process.
To monitor the cash flow situation; assist the hub financial controller & hub MD in preparation of budgets and forecasts.
To cover a more detailed book-keeping role for a limited period (to cover maternity leave).
To supervise the work of the accountant & cashier in Romania.
To assist hub FC in overseeing the finance staff of Serbia as & when necessary.
