Plant Manager

Professional Qualifications:
• 4-year technical or university degree required;
Graduate degree in Business Administration or equivalent preferred

Years of Relevant Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing operations management (production, assembly processes)

Latitude of Responsibility:
• Romania manufacturing start-up and ongoing operations

Specific Skills Required:
• Experience and demonstrated ability to lead 100+ employees; Manufacturing start-up experience preferred.
• Various Microsoft Office applications. Firm knowledge of IT systems, including order management and resource planning and supply chain management.
• Strong understanding and experience of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies and Best In Class manufacturing practices and approaches.
• Knowledge of facilities management, including productive maintenance activities.
• Experience in meeting corporate and regional quality requirements including ISO9001/ISO14000.
• Knowledge of Romania’s labor laws, union negotiations, and environmental regulations.
• Ability to develop/innovate/create programs to become highest quality and best service, lowest cost manufacturer of products.
• Independent with a high self-drive.

Requirement to Travel:
• Local and Regional travel as required;
• International travel required for up to 8 weeks a year

Other:
• Ability to communicate clearly in both spoken and written English and Romanian

Summary of role:

Lead a Romania Regional Production Center team in the profitable manufacture of Panduit products to the quality and service goals of Panduit Corp. Provide overall operational responsibility for the production, labor, engineering, supply-chain, quality and administrative areas of production.

Requirements:
• Lead all aspects of manufacturing operational start-up, including staffing, system implementation and validation, according to established objectives
• Ensure an effective supply chain by balancing inventory, operational capabilities and market demands.
• Maintain continuity of supply and assure high quality sourcing of all raw materials at optimal service and price targets and customer-focused delivery of finished goods.
• Drive continuous improvement including focused projects utilizing lean manufacturing, six sigma and best in class methodologies aimed at optimizing business objectives and overall performance.
• Preparation and maintenance of an operating budget
• Support career path advancement and training objectives for all employees
• Support product line and sales teams in product launches and increasing market share in Europe
• Represent Panduit on behalf of the Board of Directors regarding relationships with public and private organizations. Work with local government authorities on all business-related matters.
• Manage operation in compliance with local laws, regulations, internal rules and group policy. Respect and apply laws and procedures such as labor contract, workers rights, accident prevention regulations, environmental and product safety.
