Senior Accountant

Educational Background
• University degree in Finance or Accounting and Economics

Professional Experience
• At least 3 years experence in the Accounting department of a multinational manufacturing or construction company (desired)

Particular Requirements
• Reliable, strong knowledge of local GAAP, IFRS/US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley
• Strong IT skills - Microsoft Office tools (proficiency in Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
• Experience with accounting softwares (CIEL or BaaN), it is a real advantage
• Good communication and people-management skills
• Good analytical and numerical skills
• Experience in interacting with internal and/or external customers preferred
• Good knowledge of English

Reporting to the Romanian CFO your main responsibilities in this position are:
● Preparation of statutory accounts in accordance with the local law
● Accounting supervision; monthly, quarterly and yearly closing – local format
● Preparing the Fiscal Declaration for taxes and ensuring their timely submission to the Fiscal Authority
● Support for financial planning and budgeting
● Conversion of Romania accounts into group reporting frame, adjustment according to the group accounting rules
● Support for international reporting – IFRS/US GAAP format
● Maintenance of an optimal financial accounting/reporting system according to legal requirements and business objectives
● Support for internal controls
• Implements rulings on requirements to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley Act
● Coordinating the activity of accountant(s) for which she/he is responsible
● Treasury management, preparation of cash flows, P/L accounts
