Software Engineer - Oracle Collaboration Suite

Enhance and resolve issues for Oracle Collaboration Suite.

Department Description:

Diagnostics and Defect Resolution (DDR) is a dynamic group in ST Development that is responsible for fixing product defects and delivering high quality fixes to Oracle's customer base for Database Server, Internet Application Server , Enterprise Manager, and Oracle Collaboration Suite

Responsibilities:

-Apply proven debugging skills and 3-tier applications experience to fix bugs on production releases.
-The technical focus for the position is in the email server and two email clients of Collaboration Suite.
-There are also opportunities to implement small diagnostic improvements to the product.
-Development of 3-tier applications with Oracle DB, development of email applications, diagnosis of product defect issues including problems presented without a testcase.

Job Requirements:

-Two-five years' experience in software development.
-Proficiency in java and C development.
-Knowledge of email servers or architecture (an advantage)
-SMTP protocol knowledge (an advantage)
-strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures
-Strong background in system software development and debugging
-Problem analysis and resolution skills on unix and windows environments Working knowledge of web based applications
-BS in Computer Science or related discipline strongly preferred
-Proven success of simultaneously completing multiple tasks to the highest quality
-Strong written communication skills
-Must be willing to work the hours required to complete all tasks
