SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER (LICENSE MANAGEMENT SERVICES)

The License Management Services (LMS) Team has the responsibility to assure compliance of our customers and partners regarding their utilization and distribution of ORACLE software products. This is delivered in various programs, solutions & tools by field consultants spread among various countries.
The License Management consultants in the field are assisted & supported by the LMS Service Centre. The LMS Service Centre team is also responsible for the development and enhancement of the applied technical tools & systems. The Senior Software Engineer is a member of the LMS Service Centre and part of the Global Development Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Reports to the LMS Service Centre Manager
-Works towards objectives set by the LMS Service Centre Manager
-Development & enhancement of LMS tools & Systems
-Acts as an analytical expert
-Works closely with the Global LMS Technical Director and with the Global Process Owners for various systems
-Works closely with the related local License Management Consultants
-Acts as an expert in Oracle License Management technical tools
-Be recognized as senior technical LMS analyst
-Research/develop and maintain technical LMS tools to measure customer’s Oracle usage
-Provide front line support to the LMS team members
-Answer technical questions to organizations outside of LMS and to Oracle customers/partners, if needed
-Maintain technical documentation for LMS tools and creation of training manuals.
-Have a good understanding of Oracle technologies

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Advanced experience with the Unix/Linux and Windows operating system.
-Advanced experience with SQL and PL/SQL
Unix Shell scripting and MS-DOS batch programming
-Experience in developing web applications
-Good knowlegde of Java programming language
Knowledge of J2EE (servlet, Web Service,EJB) will be a plus
-Working experience with Oracle Application Server / Tomcat / Jboss will be a plus
-Working experience with OpenSource frameworks: Struts / Hibernate / Spring / Ajax etc will be a plus
-Familiar with PHP programming will be a plus
-Familiar with Oracle Applications
-Good understanding of computer networks
-Strong documentation & communication skills
-Be able to work both independently and in team environment
