This role is providing support for Siebel CRM and Siebel Analytics products.
Technical Support staff provide exceptional technical support to software professionals implementing and administering Siebel Applications, and contribute to continuous product and service improvement through product and documentation review, process improvement and internal systems design, configuration and implementation
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responding to complex and highly technical customer requests
- Researching and reproducing technical issues
- Working with other members within Technical Support to ensure complete and timely resolution of customer questions and issues, and to complete any necessary follow-up activities
- Contribute to key organizations within the company
- Work on specific project assignments, which may include such things as process/tools improvement, maintenance of the Technical Support website, development of an internal website, etc
QUALIFICATIONS:
- The ideal candidate should have a degree in Computer science, minimum 2 years relevant technical experience
- Strong database skills (DB2, Oracle, Sybase, Informix, MS SQL Server)
- Knowledge of operating systems (Windows XP, Windows 2003, UNIX)
- Hands on experience with HTML, Java-Script
- Experience in supporting client/server applications
- Experience with Visual Basic/Object Oriented programming/OLE Automation
- Experience with browser technologies (products, plug-ins) on different platforms CGI, MS-IIS knowledge, Websphere or Weblogic.
- OLAP / Data Warehousing / Datamart design
- Previous technical support experience
- Strong customer service skills and an eagerness to excel
- Superb trouble-shooting skills and tenacity in problem solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to learn quick
- Excellent organizational skills
