Oracle Technical AnalystGlo0bal Help Desk is responsible for providing high level technical support and training for our internal client applications.
Includes, but not limited to: user support of custom business applications, troubleshooting of technical problems and technical liaison between user community and Resolving Groups. Works on problems of limited scope. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data where answers can be readily obtained. Normally receives detailed instructions on most work during training
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Staff 24 x 7 Technical Support Line.
- Refer client problems according to established procedures
- Assist in providing information and support to company field personnel regarding previously reported items and resolutions to increase productivity.
- Develop a complete understanding of Oracle product line.
- Provide assistance to other departments or business units as directed
- Develop professionally in order to increase technical, functional, and interpersonal competence.
- Provide technical input for external communications.
- Continue to refine Customer Satisfaction skills to better service the client.
- Attend training pertaining to assigned software products.
- Adheres to the policies and procedures of Oracle Corporation.
- Other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree in MIS or equivalent experience.
- 1 - 2 years experience supporting medium to large applications.
- 1 - 2 years experience working directly with internal and external clients.
- 1 - 2 years experience providing user support of IBM PC/Windows network custom business applications.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows and MS Office applications; specifically EXCEL, Word, PowerPoint and Electronic Mail.
- Working knowledge of assigned company products
- Ability to interact effectively with other technical and non-technical resources
- Ability to quickly establish comfortable & effective working relationships
- Understanding of client/server and Internet concepts and techniques
- Strong oral and written technical and interpersonal communication skills including sensitivity to user community.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and evaluate complex data
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time
- Highly motivated - self starter
- Ability to problem solve and meet deadlines
- Fluent English is required
- Fluency in a 2nd language preferred (European or Asia Pacific)
