| CANDIDATUL IDEAL:
PROFILE:
Retail operations background, preferably with an established oil company or a traditional food retail chain
Self starter, highly motivated, willing to work long and sometimes unusual hours
Good interpersonal skills, well organized & open minded
Good delegation, time management & leadership skills
Good team building and motivational skills
Strong desire to learn all aspects of retailing
Better than average performance in past positions as indicated by performance reviews or reference checks
A marketer mentality approach to the business and a willingness to try new concepts
Holder of a full and preferably clean driving license
| RESPONSABILITATI / BENEFICII:
MISSION: Maximise the sales & profit of all stations in the network by ensuring the highest standards of operation exist in; merchandising, security, training and physical standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Exceed all agreed sales budgets.
Control all costs and expenses to within agreed levels.
Assist in the development of policies, procedures and mission.
Communicate guidelines to subordinates for their area of responsibility.
Take appropriate action to ensure policies and procedures are followed.
Ensure development of subordinates.
Oversee the activities of subordinates and assist as necessary.
Provide timely feedback on performance to all subordinates.
Implementation of the store marketing plans.
Ensure that local and national marketing initiatives are successfully executed.
Visit stores on a regular basis to ensure standards are met, marketing programs are being executed properly, advancement opportunities are discussed, employees are being treated fairly, security measures are enforced and store controls are being implemented.
Provide quality feedback to Marketing Department.
PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
Station targets achieved.
Expenses held to budget or below, especially with the respect of labour costs.
Increased gross profit margins.
Station operating profits at or above budgeted levels.
Station inspection scores/evaluations.
Level of implementation of corporate programs.
Station manager turnover low.
Feedback from Marketing department.
